Bulkley Valley Engineering Services Ltd. is a small engineering consulting company that provides businesses, industry, developers, local and regional governments, and first nations with a wide range of design and engineering solutions. We are based in Smithers BC and primarily serve the Bulkley Valley and Lakes District from Burns Lake to Hazelton.

We specialize in personalized and timely service on small to medium sized projects — projects which benefit from our local knowledge, low overhead costs, and expertise in regionally appropriate and sustainable technologies. 

BVES is dedicated to being a community based business that plays a role in developing the local capacity and infrastructure needed for strong and resilient communities in northern BC.

The Staff of BVES  live, play and grow in the communities we work. As such it has been important for us to support special projects when and how we are able. 

In the recent past, BVES and its staff has been pleased to volunteer technical support to initiatives including... Cycle 16, Gitanmaax Skateboard Park, Smithers Skateboard Park. Kasaan Historical Site, the Canadian Ski Patrol and the Northern Saddle Club.
